Hearts all over during V-Day.

February 15, 2012

Yesterday was Valentines Day and each and everyone of us celebrated it in our own different ways. As I was walking along the halls of De La Salle, I passed by a lot of beautiful ladies in their prim outfits. It’s either they’re carrying a bouquet of flowers, a teddy bear, a cake, or all of the above. As for the gentlemen around the corner, a bunch of them were eagerly preparing for their surprises and plans for their lady love. These are just some of the things that our generation can do all for the sake of love. I thought, “These girls are really lucky.”

Don’t get me wrong. It’s just that, I’m not an avid fan of celebrating Valentines Day. The world doesn’t need to have a holiday to express their love for their loved ones.  You should always make them feel loved with everyday of their lives because that’s the best thing you can do for them: make them feel loved. It’s not how expensive your gift is; it’s the thought that counts. You don’t need to treat them to a  fancy restaurant nor shower them with extravagant things. These things are actually worthless and useless because they will never last forever. Your love for them will.

It sounds cheesy, huh?

Wake up. Twenty-four hours is never enough to show someone how much they really mean to you.

Whether you’re single or in a relationship, I sincerely hope that everyone of you had a wonderful Valentines Day to remember because I did! I just wish that you will be able to know the true meaning of Valentines Day. God Bless us all!
